Some confusion over Feed Hungry Weikiat Fund
There are some confusion over the recent Feed Hungry Weikiat Fund initiative, which was some took to understand that the funds are for literally buying meals for Weikiat.
Wrong. The donations are for hosting fees for the following websites:
Weikiat.net
Sgshoppin.com
SgZap.com
TheWickedQuiz.com
MyBlogEndsWith.com (closing down after expiry)
and various other sites which amounted to nearly SGD20/month.
The $5.50, $10.50 and $20.50 donations (one meal, two meals, four meals) are use figuratively to refer to the amount that user intend to donate, rather like “Bronze”, “Silver”, “Gold”, “Platinum” when you sign up for credit cards. The additional 50cents is to offset that charge imposed by paypal for transactions.
And why must it be “buy” something and not “donate”. Simple reason. Not sure how to make a donate button in paypal.
I hope this clears everything up.
Obviously not everyone know that the English language can be used so much more playfully than Chinese. Is there a way to restrict the viewership of this site to only those with a sense of humour?

actually do u know that Singaporeans can’t have a donate button, against the law or something like that. nice way to go about that restriction on your part
I did make a donate button before when I was doing The Wicked, but I can’t seem to find that option in my paypal account now.
