How to seamlessly switch between using your computers?

A hardware solution in the form of a switch exists, allowing you to share the same screen, keyboard and mouse among different computers.

But a software solution is so much more elegant.

Using the same mouse and keyboard, I can switch between using my Desktop and NetBook easily. Synergy works on OSX, Windows and Linux, and you can share between as many computers as you want.

How to filter SMU Spam (with pictures)

Hate all the irritating SMU Spam in your SMU email account?
Here is a quick and easy guide on how to filter SMU Spam.

1) Open your Microsoft Outlook and click on “Tools”. Under “Tools”, select “Rules and Alerts”

2) Click on “New Rules”

3) Select “Move messages sent to a distribution list to a folder” and click on “people or distribution list”

4) Select “SMU Students (Undergraduates)” and click Ok.

5) Click on the word “specified” folder.

Create a new folder called “SMU SPAM” Hit ok.

6) Give the rule a new name and you are done!

Note: This filter works because most spam emails are addressed to “SMU Students (Undergraduates). However, some important emails may end up in your SMU Spam folder, so it is important to monitor this folder regularly to avoid missing out any important announcements.
